World IBD Day
Casting a purple light of visibility on an invisible disease
Every year on May 19th, it’s World IBD Day. This year, we lit up the bridge at Aalborg University in Copenhagen, Denmark to make an invisible disease visible.
Purple is the color of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), so it only made sense to light up the bridge in purple — creating a visual reminder of the many people living with a disease you can’t always see.
