Designing for a cooler future
Sustainable Water-Based Cooling in Megacities, or SWiM, is a collaborative research project exploring sustainable cooling solutions for hot, humid megacities.
The project needed a visual identity that could bring three key ideas together: water, cooling and megacities.
I translated these into waves, pipes and skyscrapers. The logo features a custom-made typeface inspired by the rounded corners of pipes, the height of skyscrapers and the movement of water. An orange sun represents the heat.
